American Legion Baseball, a variety of amateur baseball since 1925, has been played by 13-19 year olds in fifty U.S. states and Canada. More than 3,500 teams participate each year.

Our Duty to Youth Basball as Legionaires
Baseball is not just a game, it teaches sportsmanship, camaraderie, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat all in one game for an individual and a collective. Baseball teaches patience, discipline and focus. Baseball is one of the few sports that teaches linear thinking as players are required to be intimately aware of what action is supposed to be taken (instantaneously) under a variety of circumstances. Baseball teaches kids how to build friendships and builds resilient humans. It is one of the only games that teaches failure and how to pick oneself up from it.
Legion Baseball has demonstrated this through the ages as Legion Baseball graduates are proud contributors throughout our society and often are the most successful people in their respective career fields.
We support youth baseball because young athletes should have the opportunity to pursue their baseball passion, we serve our youth to give them a level playing field to PLAY BALL!
