1971

San Diego Union Tribune July 31, 1971

American Legion Baseball the powerhouse of the time fielded 26 teams to compete for a spot to go to State and National contention.

Our 2020 Season (which has been halted due to the Covid-19 Pandemic) has 18 teams on standby to get boys on the field.

The players from 1971, who are they, where are they? Some are Veterans and Legion Members, some are the grandfathers of the players playing today.
